This project consists of a high-performance containerized cleanroom laboratory deployed for the petrochemical sector in the United Arab Emirates. Engineered to withstand harsh desert oilfield environments, the portable facility covers a total area of 24 square meters and is constructed within a ruggedized ISO steel container. II. Design Standards & Parameters
The engineering design strictly complies with international petrochemical laboratory criteria and critical life safety parameters:
- Quality Accreditation: Fully compliant with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard for testing and calibration laboratories.
- Explosion-Proof Compliance: All electrical equipment, lighting systems, and structural modules deployed in hazardous zones comply with ATEX/IECEx standards.
- Fire Resistance Rating: Class II fire protection rating with structural fire endurance limits reaching 2.0 hours for the wall frame, 1.5 hours for the roof beam, and 0.5 hours for roof purlins.
- Environmental Criteria: Indoor temperature is continuously managed between 20-25℃ with relative humidity controlled within 40-70% RH, safeguarding precision analytical processes.
III. Core System Configuration
The facility integrates heavy-duty structural steel fabrications and industrial-grade air handling components:
- Structural Shell & Frame: Built using a fully welded prefabricated Q235-B steel frame structure with E43 electrodes. The roof structure and vertical columns feature a minimum thickness of 4mm. The roof is engineered to Grade I waterproofing with a 1/10 drainage slope to prevent water logging, supported by a minimum of four heavy-duty top-mounted lifting points.
- Internal Enclosure System: The internal partition walls feature a 50mm thick modular cleanroom wall panel system. The ceiling assembly is lined with a premium cleanroom ceiling panel configuration. These specialized sandwich panels utilize single-layer composite structures with a 2mm cold-bent steel outer layer and a 0.6mm color steel inner layer, delivering superior thermal isolation and airtight boundaries.
- HVAC & Process Ventilation: Configured with an industrial-grade split or packaged air conditioning machine capable of adjusting temperatures from 18 to 28℃. The specialized ventilation network maintains a minimum of 12-15 air changes per hour (ACH) to ensure continuous fresh air replenishment.
- Laboratory Furniture & Exhaust: Fitted with CMA and CNAS certified steel laboratory benches, chemical reagent cabinets, and a chemical-resistant PP sink. The integrated laboratory fume hood delivers certified containment and exhaust performance matching ASHRAE 110-2016 and JB/T 6412-1999 standards.

- Hazardous Gas Mitigation: Outfitted with automated fire alarms and multi-gas detection instrumentation to continuously track concentration limits of H₂S, CH₄, and CO. Emergency response tools include standalone CO₂ and dry chemical fire extinguishers.
- Explosion-Proof Logistics Access: Features an explosion-proof insulated steel entry door designed for smooth machinery entry, coupled with PVC double-layer hollow glass windows positioned 1.5 meters above the ground line. An integrated emergency escape hatch or backup exit door provides an absolute safety egress.
- Integrated Life Safety Stations: Equipped with an emergency eyewash unit and a safety deluge shower station to protect personnel during chemical handling. All indoor luminaires are ATEX/IECEx certified explosion-proof LED fixtures.
